Spring Concert 2011!

This year the Spring Concert was a special event,
Mr. Randolph was recovering from a broken ankle and conducted
the entire night from a high stool but the night was wonderful,
the students played better than ever and special congratulations
to medal winners John Spencer, Scott Lindorfer, and Julianne Rohrdanz

Reno Jazz Festival 2011!

Advanced Jazz Band and Combo played spectacular sets at the 2011 Reno Jazz Festival.
In spite of Mr. Randolph's broken ankle, everyone had a great time and the Combo won 2nd place!

Clinic with master musician/trumpeter Dave Scott!

Trumpeter/band leader/educator Dave Scott brought his insights and expertise to our band room
last Friday 2/4/11 for a wonderful time of learning. The class was wowed by Mr. Scott's demonstrations
of brass plunger techniques and tips on phrasing and most of all feeling!

CMEA at Northgate!

On Saturday 1/22/11 O'Dowd Jazz Band brought their soulful sounds
to the theater at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek. Many bypassers
were drawn to the swinging sounds of the band and we finished our set
to an enthusiastic response....

Winter Concert 2010!

The Music Department really showed its stuff at the 2010 Winter Concert.
